The Enneagram reveals your personality patterns.

Jungian shadow work helps you claim the parts you've hidden or rejected.

Embodiment practice grounds this insight so transformation isn't just an idea, but a lived experience and practice.

Light and dark lie in every human heart.

How we wish that we could cancel the distasteful parts of ourselves by assuming they live only out there in others. The more siloed we are in our tightly held worldview, the more unconscious our shadow.

We empower the shadow by cutting it off or pretending it doesn’t exist inside of ourselves.

Shadow work is a gift to ourselves as a practice for wholeness, creativity, self honesty and authenticity.

It is a gift to our community as it reduces projection and conflict.

We are less likely to blame or judge others for traits we have not yet owned in ourselves.

With this in mind, Enneagram teachers

Leslie Hershberger and Lee Fields introduce:

Embodied Shadow Work
Using Enneagram Wisdom to Awaken to Shadow in
Self and the Collective

SHADOW CLASS 2025 REBOOT:

In Winter 2024, Leslie taught a class on the shadow of each Enneagram Center and type.

Given the current tensions in the world, Leslie and Lee will include not only the materials from last year, but also explore how shadow energies show up in the Collective now and throughout history.

So much of conflict in these fraught times comes from standing in each other's shadows

We'll delve into how our Enneagram type interacts with the Collective Shadow and impacts our daily lives and communities.

GOOD SHADOW WORK IS 3 CENTERED

Learning about your Enneagram shadow and the collective in the Mental center is only a start.

When we stay in the Mental center, we go back to our default strategies.

Our predictive emotions take over and drive habitual thought patterns and projections.

Embodiment and practice takes us beyond an intellectual understanding of the shadow.

In this class, you will learn how to bring the other 2 centers online.

You learn practices to bring the Heart Center into compassionate attunement.

You learn to embody your new insights and values through your actions in the world

Leslie Hershberger

Leslie has been working with psychologist Carl Jung’s Shadow for over 24 years both with the Enneagram and in her work Ken Wilber's Integral Life.

She believes that healthy integral living is to continually work to recognize and reclaim these broken pieces of ourselves, and to reintegrate them back into our Whole self so that we can practice being less reactive and more responsive to what a moment asks of us.

Leslie is, at heart, a practice based teacher. For her, projection and shadow work is a non-negotiable as she has seen and experienced the havoc that projection of our Shadow can cause to families, groups and the collective.

Because she doesn't see Shadow work as a simplistic self improvement project, she has much compassion for the courage it takes to work to reintegrate splintered pieces of ourselves that we may have unconsciously pushed away over the course of our lives.

She believes Courage calls us to:

Wake up...to our patterns through 3 Centered Wisdom practice

Grow up...claim personal agency/ practice emotional maturity

Clean up...do our Shadow Work

Show up...serve humanity in whatever way we are called

In these intense, polarized times, the collective is highly reactive. Conscious people willing to own their shadow is no small thing. Leslie welcomes you with gratitude to Individual and Collective Shadow work.

Lee Fields

Lee first met the Enneagram in 1994, but it was a brief encounter that didn’t go very far until 2019 when her work began in earnest.

Her particular interests are practical applications of the Enneagram for personal growth and in relationships - with ourselves as well as personal and professional relationships.

She’s an Enneagram teacher/practitioner certified through Enneagram Applications with Nan Henson and Lynda Roberts, The Narrative Enneagram’s Practitioner track and with Mario Sikora and Maria Jose Munita’s Awareness to Action, International. She is currently expanding her study through The Narrative Enneagram’s teacher track and Marion Gilbert’s Somatic Enneagram. ,

Lee’s an associate with Awareness to Action and is a teaching assistant with their certification program, she also serves on the board of the International Enneagram Association Southeast’s affiliate as the Programming Committee Chair.

Leslie knew she had found a kindred spirit through countless conversations with Lee who has incredibly insightful observations about the Enneagram, shadow and how it plays out in the collective.

Leslie also has a heart for people like Lee who walk the talk and do their own inner work and show up in the world to serve.

Lee, an Enneagram One, offers homework practices, journaling prompts and skillful listening to needs of participants.
